The Indian Captain scored exactly 200 runs in 283 balls and got out in the bowling of Gabriel. There were 24 boundaries in his innings.

The previous best for an Indian skipper in an Overseas Test was 192 runs by Mohammad Azharuddin against New Zealand in 1990.

This is also the first ever double ton of career in Kohli’s career. His previous best was 169 runs in the fourth test against Australia in Melbourne in 2014.
